SREI National Research Service Institutional Training Award (T32)

In 2000, the SREI leadership spearheaded an initiative to obtain NICHD funding to support the research training of selected REI fellows interested in a research-intensive career in reproductive medicine. The program is coordinated and administered by the University of Pennsylvania in collaboration with SREI. Currently, ten fellowship programs are approved by the NICHD to participate - Einstein, UCSF, UAB, Cincinnati, Iowa, Louisville, Vermont, Washington University, Brigham and Penn. Each year, one or two REI fellows from the approved programs are awarded a 2-year NIH traineeship to conduct cutting-edge research in the laboratories of NIH-funded investigators. Following the final year of training, fellows present their research in the special research presentations session during the ASRM national meeting.
