QUESTION: What is ASRM?

Answer: Headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama, the American Society for Reproductive Medicine is a voluntary, non-profit organization devoted to advancing knowledge and expertise in reproductive medicine including infertility, menopause, and sexuality. ASRM also maintains a Washington, D.C., office to address governmental and public relations issues. ASRM regularly interacts with the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and the Food and Drug Administration, as well as local and state representatives.

QUESTION: Who are ASRM members?

Answer: ASRM members reside in all 50 of the United States and in more than 100 countries, and number more than 8,000. The Society is multidisciplinary, with members including andrologists, gynecologists, urologists, reproductive endocrinologists, embryologists, genetic counselors, mental health professionals, internists, nurses, practice administrators, laboratory technicians, pediatricians, research scientists, and veterinarians. Answer: As a member of ASRM, you will be able to take advantage of many opportunities available to you.

QUESTION: I am interested in joining - What does it cost?

Answer:  

  • $275 for physicians, Ph.D.s, and other doctorates (L.L.D., J.D., D.V.M., etc.)
  • $125 Non-Ph.Ds. lab personnel, administrators, medical students, graduate students, residents, fellows, allied health professionals. In order to receive a printed copy of each issue of Fertility and Sterility, there will be an extra $25 charge to your annual membership fee.
